I'm Full...

With the eating holiday officially over I can return to my task of basement studio stardom...

Updates abound! I have purchased all the supplies I need to begin painting the basement walls. The final section of the studio has been cleaned up and gone through so that we are no longer surrounded by any clutter which is nice, can't believe how much room there is down here for activities. I've been on the search for items of mine that will benefit the studio; posters, toys, useful items like the Canon tripod I still can't find.

Keeping checking in as the painting of the basement will yeild the before and after photos!

Photoshop Fun

Through the years I must say my photoshop skills were put to rough use for the side of evil rather than good. Requests from people wanting to see the infamous "Mak Face" used in different ways provided me with time in Photoshop and others time spent laughing. Hit the link below for more of the "Mak Face" phenomenon....

Basement Make Over

So I was approached in conjunction with my good friend Mike's site, Leafygreen.info, to see if I was willing to review some paint. This turned out to be perfect since I decided not long into the process of making the basement into a design studio that I wanted to change the colors down there. The product is Safe Paint from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co., Inc..

So I said yes, the paint has arrived already, now I just need to go pick up some supplies and get started. Look for a full review on the product at Leafgreen.info coming soon.

T-Shirt Design

Here is a t-shirt design I did for Mike over at Leafygreen.info. It's yet to go into production but was well received by the Leafygreen faithful. Click image for larger version.

Photoshop Work

1st Draft

Final

At the top is initial design ideas for a Behnke Boys Clan Logo to be used for the Warhawk Game on PS3 for my clan I was heading up. After a few changes, mainly to the flame the lower image shows what I ended up with. Just some fun photoshop work done for S&G's.

Used an image of a quarter to make the coin behind the skull, the skull was an actual image of a human skull filtered down to what you see above. Warhawk wings are in the background, "Mors Ab Alto" on the coin means "Death from above" in Latin. 178 was the street address for the house that the majority of the gamers in the clan lived in a few years back.

Fists of Love

Well week is moving slow, did minimal design things during this period which is disappointing. Today we take a new photo for the banner of this blog. Keith gets to get punched in the face(with my fist, not the fists shown above), he believes in his art and is willing to take a good shot to the dome for realism.

In other news we'll be painting the basement soon, I'm taking before pictures tonight to show the cleaning of the shelf area/other wall, and so that we'll be able to look at the differences with the new paint up in a few weeks. Definitely super excited and so should you. Stay tuned for the new banner and prepainting/shelf cleaning pictures.

Weekend...

So the weekend seemed long but was nice. Friday had Moe and I rearranging parts of his apartment to provide added room/creative space. Saturday morning was spent in the basement doing the same thing for myself, cleaning/rearranging/organizing. It's coming along quite nice down there. More tutorials and Dreamweaver work, snuck in a little Photoshop.

Next week, pictures of the basement set up so far, promise...

Oh Werd!

So this friday Face Punch has some work to do at the Off Site office of the studio, Dirty Jersey City Style.

So Moe and I will be working on getting his place optimally set up for optimal creativity. Gonna Feng Shui the shit out of it so he can go between his art, his movies and entertainment, his video games, and of course his food with maximum efficiency. Also, sometimes when you live in a place long enough you just have to make a change.

Maybe some before and after photos of our work, maybe some pics of the headquarters, who knows what will be posted next on here...
